In 1984, a man shoots four black teenagers on a crowded New York City subway train, claiming that he was being robbed. The shooting ignited a nationwide debate on crime and a citizen’s right to self defense. One of those teenagers talks for the first time about what happened that day.

Director's Statement:

In 1984, racial tension and crime culminated in a shooting involving four black youths aboard a crowded New York City subway train. I tracked down one of those teenagers, now fifty-two and incarcerated in an upstate New York prison, and asked him to revisit that day. This mixed animation/live interview footage documentary short is my directorial debut.
