At the top and bottom of a hill are two factories. One is on the verge of bankruptcy while the other continues to profit. In order to help her father, 19-year-old Yuriya accepts wealthy Hayato's proposal for marriage. But when things don't go as expected, she is thrust into a world of confusion.
