Curtain of Secrecy is the true story of Ruby McCollum; an affluent African American woman in Live Oak Florida. In 1952, Ruby shot and killed her white lover, prominent doctor and state senator Leroy Adams, in cold blood. The story explores the reasons why she was pushed to the brink of insanity and how her trial changed the American justice system forever.
