This film tells the history of a family owned department store which was in business for over 100 years in Crowley, Louisiana. The film highlights the store’s impact on the local community as well as on the development of Cajun and Creole music in south Louisiana. The information is drawn from interviews with people who worked and shopped there, and features several area musicians, including Grammy winners Jo-El Sonnier, Wayne Toups and Steve Riley.
The filmmakers will attend the film screening.
