SHORT NARRATIVE

Set in the back country of modern day America, Break the Will is the story of a twelve year-old Amish boy, Joshua, who is caught watching his parents engage in sexual acts. Christy and Mathilda must decide if this was simply boyish curiosity, or if a darker, more perverted will exists.
Firmly rooted in her Amish convictions, Mathilda believes this bad will must be broken with the whip. Christy, responsible for administering the punishment, struggles to bring such violence into his home. But the longer they wait, the more chance they give for the potential misbehavior to repeat.
