The Republican junior Senator from Kansas seems poised to land her party's nomination for the presidency, but she faces one last hurdle before confirmation: a vetting interview with the 6,000 year-old alien boy who rules the Earth.
Director Statement
In 2016, "VETTING" was a big buzz word in the United States. It was a year that ended with the election of an ideology that played upon a nation's collective fear of the unknown accumulated after nearly two decades of "the war on terror." Xenophobia is alive and well in America, but what if the enemy and the architect were one in the same? THE VETTING is a riff on the messy confluence of honor, duty, terror and telepathy that is "politics."
