See and hear prime and perfect numbers in a mathematical flicker film dedicated to Tony Conrad (1940-2016).
The vast majority of the frames in this film are black. You will be sitting in the dark experiencing number patterns. The prime number frames (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, … 8,123) are white and the perfect number frames (6, 28, 496, and 8128) are red.
For the best experience view in a dark room at loud volume.
Director's Statement:
After making experimental films on 16 mm in the 1970's and 1980's, I recently returned to filmmaking in the digital age.
