SHORT DOCUMENTARY

An encounter with environmental activist Bilbo Cyr, Acadian slam poet living in Gaspésie, Québec, Canada. His territory is under attack from all sides, targeted by mining companies, fracking exploration and industrial projects. Nevertheless, he fights passionately to protect his land, planting trees in the ground and hope in the minds, using words as his sole weapon.

This film will be presented as part of the Festival Les Percéides presentation of “Action Louisiane-Gaspésie,” a cultural collaboration and exchange between the Festival Les Percéides and Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival.

The filmmaker will attend the film screening.
