Robin / Japan / North American Premiere

This is a story about the other side of the world. A daughter grows up without her father, who was a photographer. However, she and her mother only have one photo of him at home. She sees how much her mother misses him and goes on a social media app called “ROBIN” to find special gifts from all over the world.

Japanese with English subtitles.

Takashi Yuki, who attended last year's COTB, appears in this film. He accepted the award given last year to Novela Picaresca, in which he also appeared.

Director's Bio

kenji qurata, a COTB alum, is an award-winning director, writer, and novelist. He has won the Grand Prix at Sundance Institute NHK Award. He has written and directed TV drama series, “Futari Monologue”, “Novela Picaresca”, which won a special jury award at COTB 2019, “Indigo Children”, “EVERYTIME WE SAY GOODBYE” and more.
