This is a documentary short, from two-time Academy Award winner director Malcolm Clarke, about WWII Flying Tiger’s pilot Glen Beneda who was shot down behind enemy lines while taking part in a secret mission.
The Flying Tiger’s were an elite group of US fighter pilots secretly recruited by Presidential Authority to help China resist Japanese occupation during the early days of the Second World War.
With the help of Chinese villagers, a badly injured Beneda traveled over 500 miles by foot through enemy territory with little food or sleep while avoiding an enemy determined to kill him.
In his 80's, against doctors orders saying that the trip might kill him, Glen traveled to meet the villagers who saved his life to say thank you.
