A man takes the subway daily. Usually he remains 'one of the crowd'. But sometimes there is an encounter and a new perspective takes shape.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT:
I’ve been intrigued with the idea of combining real images of the world with drawings and other kinds of images and then animating them. I've worked in the digital world since beginning as a desktop video editor in the late 1980's and have drawn since I was a kid. Under the City the Blue Bag Dropped continues this exploration of the the relationship of hand-crafted art and the digital world.
The story - of a woman’s mishap on the train and the way people do or do not react - is based on many similar and real moments I have experienced in more than thirty years of using the subway. It is a very interesting way to travel!
