SHORT NARRATIVE

Summer 1997. The summer plans of Lea are interrupted. With a broken leg and a low enthusiasm, she begins the heat wave of July, stuck in a dreary bungalow in the suburb. However, while looking at his sister’s room, she discovers an opening to a whole new universe that will bring her to the door of her adolescence.

Director's Bio

Fanny Perreault is a resident of Quebec city. She’s has obtained a Cegep degree in cinema (Cegep Fançois-Xavier Garneau) and a bachelor’s degree from University Laval in Literary, which help her develop her ability in photography, has a sound man, in editing, fiction writing and narrative construction.

For many years, she has worked on different short film, directing La Surconscience et l’Angoisse (2012) selected at the Festival du Film Étudiant de Québec (FFEQ), and co-directing La journée des vivant-morts (2013), prize winner at the festival Vitesse lumière of Quebec City (Météor prize). She has also worked as a boom operator on Une question de goût (David Labrecque, 2016), Antoine & Alexeï (Emmanuelle Landry, 2016), Grand Maman (Ève Dufaud, 2016) and La Tinque Sacrée (Thomas Rodrigue, 2018), which gave her some film set experience.
