SHORT NARRATIVE
Constance is a contemporary Haitian woman, and newly single mom of two kids, she is starting over in life and love on her own terms, but with the advice and help of her closest girlfriends and ride or die cousin. raised as a Protestant Christian, she is uncomfortable with ideas about Catholic saints or demigods who can intercede on one's behalf to God. However, Constance is persuaded by her cousin to look to the Haitian deity Erzilie, for luck with a blooming romance and good fortune. But things get complicated quickly with her love interest and her exploration of this intermediary or mysteres as they're sometimes called.

Director Bio
Pearl Gluck is an American filmmaker and professor. Her films, which explores themes of class, gender, and faith, have appeared as a part of the Sundance Lab, as well as played at Cannes Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and on PBS.
Writer's Bio
Wilna Julmiste Taylor is an actor, writer, producer, and arts administrator. Her interest and work often include examining the relationships between the arts, community engagement, social practice art and highlighting her Haitian heritage. She is an alumna of the Negro Ensemble Company in New York. She is a recipient of the Leeway Foundation Art & Change grant. Her work has been produced at venues such as the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, the National Black Theater Festival, New York International Fringe Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, the Borland Project Space gallery at Penn State University, and Vanderbilt University. Her work has also been published in the 25th-anniversary volume of the Caribbean Writer where the editor stated that her writing “resonated” and she was noted as an “emerging Haitian-American voice”.
