Olayami Dabls and Dmytro Szylak began building large found-object sculptures just miles away from each other in Detroit and Hamtramck. Dmytro's grew taller, Dabls' reached outward. Decades later they continue to expand and re-imagine their art installations without input from sponsors and approval committees or without asking for permission.
