Director Biography
Peruvian-American Donna Bonilla Wheeler is a Los Angeles-based, Afra-Indigenous Latinx writer/director of female-focused projects. Her original screenplays have been Nicholl Fellowship semi/quarter Finalists, Austin 2nd Rounders, Slamdance Lab selects, Sundance Lab finalists, IFP No Borders Selection, and DTLA Screenplay award winners. She co-created the MIPTV2020 Finalist/ In Development Latinx Drama Series, CLASH. Donna is a Cannes MIPTV2020 Producer to Watch, an Alliance of Women Directors Executive Board Member, Film Fatales Member, AWD Industry Support fellow, AWD Directing Shadow, Outfest Directing Shadow, #Startwith8Hollywood Mentee, WIF Mentee2020, and #ReadLatinxWriters Participant.
