Director's Biography:

Since her first short film, A Very Long Weekend, winner of the Norman McLaren Prize at the 2007 Montreal World Film Festival, Sandra Coppola, a COTB alum, has directed diverse projects such as short films, commercials, documentary web series and TV series. But cinema has always remained at the heart of her creative endeavours; in 2016, she presented another live-action short film, The Sound of the Humming Bee, at Un poing c’est court (France), and the 13th Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival (Louisiana), among others. Her most recent short film, Écriture(s) vivante(s), a documentary about the stage director and former artistic director of the Quat'sous Theater in Montreal, Eric Jean, was showcased at the Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma and the International Festival of Films on Art in 2017. As she is also passionate about screenwriting, she is currently writing a feature-length fiction film and two documentaries.
