SHORT ANIMATION

Zaire, January 1993. Rachel's family, an 8-year-old French girl, lives in Kinshasa in a house overlooking the Congo River. A sensual and intimate film about memory, writing and forgetting.

Director's Biography:

A COTB alum and award-winner, Éléonore Goldberg is a Franco-Canadian animation filmmaker, author and cartoonist.

She has published her graphic novels with collectives since 2006. She illustrated the graphic novel La demoiselle en blanc (2016, Éditions Mécanique générale), and she wrote the novel Maisons fauves (2019, Éditions Triptyque). The animated short-film Wandering was nominated at the Gala du cinéma québécois in 2014. In 2017, Éléonore completed My Yiddish Papi, with Picbois Productions and the National Film Board of Canada.

She also teaches drawing, illustration and animation since 2013.
