Director's Biography:
A graduate of the University of Montreal in cinema, a certificate in cinematographic scriptwriting at UQÀM and professional training in directing, documentary profile at L'inis, COTB alum Samuel St-Pierre is a young independent filmmaker whose gaze is driven mainly by the aesthetics of direct cinema. Originally from Sainte-Félicité de L'Islet, a small village in the Appalachians, he is fascinated by the word and the territory of Quebec. His approach tries to embody through the camera, the spirit of his Quebecitude. His documentary work has so far been viewed at various festivals from Louisiana to the Gaspé, including the Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma.
