FEATURE DOCUMENTARY

This film examines the real impact of the Deepwater Horizon explosion and sinking that sent more than 200 million gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico five years after the spill. The film includes interviews of fishermen, scientists, politicians, environmentalists, oil-rig workers and others affected by the spill, including James Carville, John Barry, Nick Spitzer, and Gen. Russell Honore, in seeking answers as to how the coast of Louisiana has changed. What really happened to all that oil? What about the dispersant used to push it beneath the surface? How has the spill impacted local economies as well as human health and the health of both marine life and the Gulf itself? Has Louisiana’s coastline been changed forever?

Jon Bowermaster will attend the film screening.
