SHORT NARRATIVE

Since her childhood, a daughter and her father haven't gotten along. Her mother is delighted when she comes home to announce her pregnancy, but her father reacts bluntly. The next morning, she finds a handmade broom by her bedside. This is a story of love and a family understanding each other through the power of a broom.

Director's Bio

Yo Kohatsu was born in Tokyo on 1973. Yo left the Japan Institute of the Moving Image in the middle of the term to pursue as a graphic designer and short film director. In 2009 he directed his first feature length film "Tikujo Seyo!"(starring Ainosuke Kataoka), a story about a sengoku samurai building a 25m castle with card board. Yo's creates projects in various genres, from thrillers to kids show, feature length documentary and home drama.
