SHORT NARRATIVE

A year ago, Yohei saw his father’s sudden death with his own eyes. Yohei, who still can’t get over his loss, visits his parent’s home for the first ceremony of his father’s death. Mother is struggling to accept father’s death in her own way. Yohei, can’t understand her trying to move on. Then, he starts to see unnatural experience. How do we shoulder and get over the death of someone precious? A story where a family keeps looking for a half part of themselves lost after the death of their loved one.

Director's Bio

Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1984. Graduated from the area of director at Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts. One of his films is Shin, Shin, Shim (2011), which he directed for completion of the school. The film was screened at ten theaters across Japan, including Shibuya EUROSPACE and also participated in Nippon Connection. ICARUS AND THE SON (2015) won the Special Jury Prize at Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival.
