SHORT NARRATIVE

Saaya lives with her grandmother. Her mom often comes to visit her, after leaving home to live with her partner and her son. One day, Saaya meets a man selling an box, which holds a secret power.

Director's Bio

Born in Osaka in 1984, she was admitted to the Visual concept planning department in Osaka University of Art in 2003. During the course, she made a short movie with 16mm film, called ‘My sister’s crush’, which received an award in Asia International Youth Film Festival in 2007. After the graduation, she started her work as a freelance assistant director and got involved in numerous films and drama production, including the music video of ‘if only I could master the language’ by Carnavacation.
